摘要 The invention pertains to a process of serial transmission of data between two or more linked stations, with at least one station working as master station and at least one other station working as slave station, all of these stations being linked to one another by two or more transmission channels, with at least one transmission channel serving as data channel for the transmission of the data and another transmission channel serving as clock channel for the transmission of a clock pulse. The essence of the invention consists in the following features: to transmit data the master station generates in each cycle in the clock channel a status change in any direction and at the same time switches the data channel into the status corresponding to the datum to be transmitted, the data being identified solely through the status of the data channel, thus ensuring that the transmitted data is interpreted independently of the status of the clock channel; to synchronize transmission the master station generates a status change in any direction in at least one data channel in a cycle, while the current status of the clock pulse remains the same only in such a synchronization cycle - this can be done in any transmission cycle, thus signaling the beginning of a new data sequence and the end of the previous data sequence. In any cycle the current transmission can be interrupted by a transmission synchronization and reinitiated. The process as per the invention can be used advantageously where previously serial transmission of data was desirable because of its cost advantages but could not be used because the operating speed of the system components was too low.
