The invention relates to a motor-vehicle door lock with a rotary latch (1) and with a detent pawl (2), with a driving pin (3) serving for actuating the detent pawl (2), and with a locking mechanism having an interior actuation lever (6), an exterior actuation lever (7), an interior securing lever (8), an intermediate actuation lever (10) and a detent-pawl lever (11), the detent-pawl lever (11) being shiftable to and fro by means of the interior securing lever (8) between a securing position and an actuation position, in the securing position the intermediate actuation lever (10) being movable idly and, in the actuation position, actuating the detent pawl (2), with the detent-pawl lever (11) being interposed. This motor-vehicle door lock has particularly low release forces, in that, as is known per se, the detent pawl (2) is designed as a tension-loaded detent hook, is pivotably mounted at the inner end on a detent-pawl axis (12), engages over the rotary latch (1) and has the driving pin (3) at a distance from the detent-pawl axis (12), in that the intermediate actuation lever (10) is also pivotably mounted on the detent-pawl axis (12), but does not itself cooperate with the driving pin (3), in that the detent-pawl lever (11) is mounted on the driving pin (3) so as to be displaceable approximately in the longitudinal direction in relation to the detent pawl (2) and to the intermediate actuation lever (10) and is coupled at the end to the interior securing lever (8), and in that...
