PURPOSE:To set proper a speed change ratio of a continuously variable transmis sion when so called 'heel-and-toe operation' is performed, in the case of a vehicle on which the continuously variable transmission is mounted. CONSTITUTION:The controller of a continuously rariable transmission is provided with a rapid deceleration detecting means for detecting that deceleration more than a specified value is a actuated on a vehicle, a brake detection means 30 for detecting that a foot brake is operated, an engine load detection means 303 for detecting engine load, a speed change control means at the time of heel-and-toe for varying speed change ratio of a continuously variable transmission to the lager side when the deceleration more than the specified value is actuated, on the vehicle the foot brake is operated, and engine load is more than a specified value. |
