摘要 Methods for affecting a material by means of an electromagnetic signal, in order to cause pulsation and movement of dielectric particles dispersed within another dielectric. The method comprises continuously exposing said other dielectric to an electromagnetic signal having a given carrier frequency and power. In a first embodiment of the method, the signal carrier frequency values are approximately half those of the frequencies of any mode of dispersed dielectric particle mechanical resonance frequencies. In a second embodiment of the method, the amplitude of a sinusoidal electromagnetic signal is modulated by oscillations having frequencies adjacent to the frequencies of any mode of dispersed dielectric particle mechanical resonance frequencies. The carrier frequency range or the amplitude modulation frequency range of the electromagnetic signal may be altered in accordance with the linear size of the dispersed dielectric particles. The power level of the electromagnetic signal may be determined according to the desired time interval for the change in linear size of said dispersed dielectric particles.
