<p>A bonded panel structure comprises a core layer (C) bonded between inner and outer layers (B), a decorative covering (D) being secured to the outer layer by a layer of adhesive. In use the panel structure is secured, such as to a vehicle roof, with the layer (A) adjacent to the vehicle body, such as by the use of adhesive or ties, the layer (D) facing the interior of the vehicle. Provided in the layer (B) are a plurality of acoustic holes (10), provided by a punching operation, having a diameter of 3 mm, and a spacing of between 5 mm to 20 mm. If desired the core may be provided with a layer of aluminium.</p> |
