PURPOSE:To considerably reduce the direction ratio in the magnetic characteristics of a nonoriented electrical steel sheet by throwing a plasma flame on the steel sheet after final annealing. CONSTITUTION:A plasma flame is linearly thrown on a nonoriented electrical steel sheet in the rolling direction after final annealing to improve the intrasurface magnetic anisotropy of the steel sheet. Since the direction ratio in the iron loss of the steel sheet is small, when the steel sheet is used, trouble such as the generation of shaft voltage in a motor or a considerable increase in the iron loss of a turbine generator can be avoided. |
