<p>A catalyst for denitrizing of nitrogen oxides in the presence of a hydrocarbon as a reducing agent, which comprises: (A) a substituted zeolite having the general formula M<1>AM<2>B [(A102) x (Si02)Y].Z H20 in which M<1> represents alkali metal, alkaline earth metal or hydrogen ion; M<2> is at least one metal ion selected from Ti<4><+>, Zr<4><+> and Sn<4><+>; n1A +n2B = X wherein n1 is a valence of the ion M<1> and n2 is a valence of ion M<2>; and Y/Z>/= 5; the M<2> ion being contained in an amount of 0.1-20% by weight based on the zeolite; and either (B) at least one metal or oxide of metal selected from Pd, Pt, Ru, Rh and Ag supported on the substituted zeolite in an amount of 0.1-10% by weight based on the zeolite, or (C) at least one oxide of metal selected from V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Nb, Mo and W in an amount of 0.1-20% by weight based on the zeolite.</p> |
