<p>An adjustable cartridge (40) to be mounted in a boring bar (10), the cartridge including a anvil (43) rotatably affixed to said boring bar (10), the anvil (43) including a pocket (60) into which a lay-down indexable insert (65) is affixed. The anvil (43) is secured in an axially oriented slot (25) which includes an arcuate seating face (35).
