PURPOSE:To make a metal plate excellent in the resistance to low-temperature impact processing by covering the surface of the metal plate with a layer of resin prepared by blending polycarbonate resin constituted mainly of repeated units of a formula I and polyester resin constituted mainly of repeated units of a formula II or III in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:Polycarbonate resin used for a resin coated metal plate is a polymer constituted mainly of repeated units of a fundamental structure shown in a formula I. In the formula, R1 is 2-10C aliphatic hydrocarbon or 6-18C aromatic hydrocarbon. Polyester resin blended with the polycarbonate resin is selected from a viewpoint of requested characteristics such as a processing adhesion to the metal plate, resistance to heat and resistance to a retort processing, for instance. The polyester resin used for the resin coated metal plate is a polymer constituted mainly of repeated units of a fundamental structure shown in a formula II or III. In the formulas, R3 is 2-6C alkylene and R3 is 2-24C alkylene or arylene. |
