PURPOSE:To provide a thermally color-forming composition having a little background fog and superior color density and shelf stability by incorporating a specific diethyiamino fluorane as a color forming compound and a specific allyl phenol and a specific ethylene ester as color developing compounds. CONSTITUTION:A thermally color-forming composition is formed by dispersing color developing compounds and a color forming compound reacting with the color developing compounds under heat to produce a color in a vehicle mainly composed of an organic solvent and a polymer compound. As the color forming compound, 2-(o-fluoroanilino)-6-diethylamino fluorane is incorporated. As the color developing compounds, 4, 4'-sulfonyl-bis(2-allyl phenol) is incorporated, and a butyl 3, 3-bis(3-t-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) ethylene ester shown by formula 1 is further incorporated. By preparing a thermal recording material using this thermally color-forming composition, superior color forming properties and shelf stability can be obtained. |
