The container of the present invention includes a rubber protector. The rubber protector is annularly fitted to at least one of a upper end wall and a lower end wall of the contaienr body and extends over the outer peripheral region of the end wall. The end wall is formed with an annular stepped portion by cold working and a radial protruded portion so that work-hardening of the stainless steel is formed to increase the strength of the end walls.
