PURPOSE:To provide a thermal transfer image receiving sheet never generating a curl even if a cast film is used for a substrate sheet and never deteriorating in image quality even under exposure to an ultraviolet radiation. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer image receiving sheet and its production method, a resin layer that can be dissolved or dispersed in water or a mixure of water and an organic solvent is formed on at least one surface of a cast film.
