PURPOSE:To produce a ZnO light emitter excellent in the strength of emitted ultraviolet light by sintering ZnO mixed with a prescribed amount of a II-VI group compound. CONSTITUTION:This light emitter is characterized by sintering ZnO mixed with 0.1-3wt.% of a II-VI group compound such as ZnS, ZnTe or ZnSe at a temperature of 900-1000 deg.C in an oxidative atmosphere. |
