PURPOSE:To prevent a danger by providing a detecting device reciprocating means for reciprocating a detecting means in a door opening and closing direction or perpendicularly to these directions at the time of opening an automatic door. CONSTITUTION:When a person enters the detecting area of a detecting device 2, which detects the change of the reflection level of near infrared rays to the person to actuate a door opening mechanism for an automatic door for opening it. Next, an automatic door opening time detecting means composed of a switch detects the opening time of the automatic door, and a motor 8 is therefore actuated by the switch. A rotor 3 then rotates, and an induction member 5 reciprocates in the longitudinal direction of the rotor 3, and moreover a detecting device holding section 6 and the detecting device 2 reciprocate in the opening and closing direction of the automatic door. Thus the detecting area becomes wider, and all the passing persons can be detected, and the automatic door is prevented from closing on the way of their passage. |
