PURPOSE: To previously position an instrument to a three dimensional image before operation, by picking up an image corresponding to a group of points on the surface of the region of the internal organ or skin, picking up at least one of three dimensional image of the internal organ and its surface or the surface of the region of the skin and connecting together two images. CONSTITUTION: A first image pickup apparatus gives the image of points on the surface of the region of the internal organ or the skin of a patient by means of an ultrasonic inspection probe. The probe 11 is placed so that its flat beam 12 comes on the same level with the surface of three threads 4, 5, 6. Further, at least one three dimensional image of the surface of the region of the internal organ or skin is shot by a second image pickup apparatus. Finally, the first image is matched with the second image. Through this operation, those specific regions of the internal organ are made possible to be positioned. |
