PURPOSE:To decrease the degrees of acoustic leakage via acoustic matching layers even after the formation of these acoustic matching layers and to lessen the deterioration in the acoustical directivity of individual arrays. CONSTITUTION:This ultrasonic probe device is constituted by arranging the acoustic matching layers 14 on the ultrasonic vibrator transducers 10 formed with electrodes and packing packing materials 13 into grooves 17A2, 17B3 formed in the acoustic matching layers 14 and the ultrasonic vibrator transducers 10. The grooves 17A2, 17B3 formed in the acoustic matching layers 14 and the ultrasonic vibrator transducers 10 are formed from the acoustic matching layers 14 down to the positions reaching the inside of the ultrasonic vibrator transducers 10 and the packing materials 13 are packed into the grooves 17A2, 17B3. |
