<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a rope for pulling an electric wire, improved in waterproofness and excellent in high strength properties by coating a rope unit with a synthetic resin layer formed on the outer periphery of the rope composed of ultrahigh-strength fiber and further carrying out resin finish there on. CONSTITUTION:A rope body 1 composed of ultrahigh-strength and low-elongation type synthetic fiber, e.g. aramid fiber or wholly aromatic polyester fiber is impregnated with a synthetic resin having a relatively low viscosity (e.g. polyurethane resin) to form a synthetic resin layer 2 on the outer periphery of the rope body. The outer periphery thereof is then covered with a cylindrical rope unit 3 composed of, e.g. polyester fiber. A synthetic resin having a relatively high viscosity (e.g. the polyurethane resin) is further impregnated from the outer periphery of the rope unit to the internal direction to form a synthetic resin layer 4 to be integral with the synthetic resin impregnated into the outer periphery. Thereby, the objective rope for pulling electric wires having high strength properties and excellent waterproofness is obtained.</p> |
