METHOD FOR ACCLIMATIZING MICROORGANISM OF BIOLOGICAL DEODORATION COLUMN

PURPOSE:To shorten the time for acclimatization and to surely execute acclimatization at a high degree at the time of acclimatizing microorganisms for decomposing odorous components by passing the low-concn. odorous gases discharged from the aeration tank of sewerage-treatment facilities through a biological deodorization column packed with packing materials to serve as microorganism carriers prior to a biological deodorization treatment in the biological deodorization treatment of these odorous gases. CONSTITUTION:The waste gases of the aeration tank are mixed with the high-density odorous gases generated from the sludge treatment device of the sewerage-treatment facilities and the gaseous mixture is passed into the biological deodorization column where the gases are acclimatized. As a result, the acclimatization is surely perfected in a short period of time by incorporating the high-density odorous gases contg. easily biologically decomposable hydrogen sulfide and methyl mercaptan at a high concn. into the waste gases. The stable and efficient biological deodorization is thereafter executed by passage of only the waste gases of the aeration tank. The biological deodorization is easily executed simply by additionally installing a duct piping for the high-concn. odorous gases.
