PURPOSE:To prepare the title particle having good heat resistance and good solvent resistance and having a monodisperse particle size distribution and a particle diameter in the range of 1.0-30.0mum. CONSTITUTION:This coated particle is one composed of a vinyl polymer particle as a seed particle and a polyurea coating layer surrounding the seed particle. The preparation process comprises dispersing vinyl polymer particles having a mono-disperse particle size distribution in an aqueous medium, adding a polyisocyanate compound to the dispersion to swell the vinyl polymer particles, adding a polyamine compound to the mixture and subjecting the entire mixture to interfacial polymerization.
