PURPOSE:To obtain fine resin granules excellent in dispersibility, reproducibility and uniformity, useful for coatings, cosmetics, etc., by dissolving an olefinic resin bearing carboxyl group, etc., in a non-aqueous solvent followed by treatment under specified conditions to effect deposition of the resin. CONSTITUTION:An olefinic resin having carboxyl or ester group such as ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is dissolved in the 1st non-aqueous solvent such as methyl ethyl ketone, and the 2nd non-aqueous solvent, and a poor solvent for this resin (e.g. aliphatic hydrocarbon) is then added to the resultant solution to such an extent as to be close proximity to the limit of the solubility of this resin. The resultant solution is then added to the 2nd non-aqueous solvent to effect deposition of the resin, thus obtaining the objective fine resin granules. |
