摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a heat sensitive recording material which is superior in head matching properties such as adhesion of residuls or sticking to a thermal head and imparted with color development sensitivity and writing properties with a pencil. CONSTITUTION:In a heat sensitive recording material which is comprised by providing a heat sensitive color development layer developing color at the time of heating and an overcoal layer consisting mainly of a pigment and an aqueous polymer in this order, the pigment contained within the overcoat layer is silicon dioxide having a specific surface area of at least 180m<2>/g and a mean particle diameter of at least 1.5mum.
