CARRIER FOR RAISING/REGENERATING PLANT AND METHOD FOR RAISING/REGENERATING PLANT USING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To provide the subject carrier excellent in convenience and producibility without injuring plants, suitable for bioreactors etc., containing a high molecular compound obtained by crosslinking a thermosensitive high molecular compound having a lower limit critical consolute temperature (LCST). CONSTITUTION:The objective carrier 0.1 to 1cm in granular size containing a high molecular compound obtained by crosslinking a thermosensitive polymeric compound 0-60 deg.C in LCST (e.g. poly-N-acryloylpiperidine). It is preferable that a plant be raised or regenerated by a process wherein the above carrier is dispersed in a specified medium at a temperature higher than the LCST followed by incorporating a plant in the medium and decreasing the temperature to a level lower than the LCST to reduce the fluidity of the above-dispersed carrier to a gel state.
