<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect a target with a preset error warning percentage for the clutters having various amplitude distributions by logarithmically converting the radar-received signals thereby to produce a clutter parameter. CONSTITUTION:Radar reflection signals from a target are converted at 207 by a transmitting and receiving unit 20 into intermediate frequencies, which are further logarithmically converted at 210 until they fed to a signal processing unit 30. In this unit 30, the difference between the square of the mean value of the input signals and the square mean value is used to judge the clutter parameter, and the threshold value control based on this parameter is performed for the output of a cell averaging circuit. Thus, the existence of the target is judged.</p> |
