PURPOSE: To provide a thermal ink jet pen capable of fixing a cover to a pen frame without prior art such as an adhesive or the like. CONSTITUTION: The thermal ink jet pen 50 having covers 70, 80 mounted at a pen frame 60 comprises an outer pen frame structure 60 having a plurality of tab coupling mechanisms 64 made of a plastic, and the covers 70, 80 provided at an interval at a plurality of metal tabs 72 to be engaged with coupling mechanism 64. The tabs 72 are press injected while being displacing the mechanism 64 and fixed to the frame structure, thereby fixing the covers to the frame structure. |
