PURPOSE:To certainly control the emission of ink, in an ink jet printer performing printing by subjecting the viscosity of ink composed of an electric viscous fluid to voltage control at every nozzle, by providing a plurality of electrode pairs to each nozzle. CONSTITUTION:An ink filling part 32 is filled with ink composed of an electric viscous fluid in a pressurized state and electrode pairs consisting of electrodes 34a-34d and a part of a common electrode 36 in mutually opposed relationship and electrode pairs consisting of electrodes 35a-35d and a part of the common electrode 36 in the state mutually arranged on the same plane are provided to nozzles 33a-33d and voltage control is performed at every electrode pairs to control the emission of ink from the nozzles 33a-33d. |
