PURPOSE:To uniformly orient insulating particles in a predetermined direction. CONSTITUTION:The method for orienting particles comprises the steps of preparing a material containing insulating particles treated with coupling agent and liquidlike matrix resin component as main ingredients, casting the material in a sheet molding frame 1, and arranging a pair of electrodes 2 to hold the material filled in the frame 1 therebetween. When the material is solidified while applying a DC voltage between the electrodes 2, the particles treated with the agent in the material are oriented along electric lines of force formed by applied voltage between the electrodes in the resin. Thus, a sheet in which the particles are oriented in a predetermined direction is manufactured. |
