The arrangement has a bench (1) which comprises a raisable and lowerable frame (2) on which is arranged a rectangular frame with two longitudinal clamping beams (3a,b). The clamping units comprise a pair of like front fixtures (5b) arranged on the straightening bench long sides along opposing longitudinal beams and partly a rear bridge clamped crossways over the straightening bench in each beam. The bridge extent in a height direction over the straightening bench exceeds the front fixture extent in a height direction. The clamping units are releasably arranged on the clamping beams and displaceable between and lockable in suitable positions along them.
