Silos for bulk materials which are of circular cross-section have a centric supporting column designed as part of an emptying shaft and are provided with a top-loading rotatable filling device and with a distributor bridge which can be raised and lowered on the supporting column by means of ropes via a swivel bridge having a lifting device and which is rotatable about the supporting column. Provided in the distributor bridge is at least one conveying means which conveys in the radial direction and which is connected to the filling device via a telescopically extendable filling tube. Guide rails are provided on the supporting column for the vertical guidance of the distributor bridge. The swivel bridge, together with the rotatable part (19) of the filling device (16) and the lifting device (20), is displaced in the silo cover (6), and the bogie (13) carrying the distributor bridge (10) is designed to be rotatable via a rotary drive (26) counter to an inner guide sleeve (24) slidable on the supporting column (7), there being provided on the guide sleeve (24) a holding device (27) above which the bogie (13) is superposed and to which is fastened a ring-like emptying shaft (28) which surrounds the closed supporting column (7) and can be adapted to the filling or emptying height of the bulk material and which consists of tube portions (29) pushable one into the other (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
