In order to provide a method of producing breathing masks (100) starting from a positive model to be made from the person to be ventilated, especially of the nose and the adjoining areas, so that hygienically satisfactory masks which ensure optimum comfort on wearing and can, moreover, be produced easily and in a manner such that the future wearer is troubled once only, it is proposed that a mask body (10) is obtained by modelling a UV-curable plastic on the positive model which is subsequently cured by UV irradiation, that a standard connector (11) is introduced into the modelled UV-curable plastic before curing, and fastening elements (13) are introduced into the mask body (10) in order to fix the breathing mask (100) on the head. <IMAGE>
