The arrangement for keyboards of communication terminals proposes to insert a spacing plate into the switching mat, to extend the contact plungers of the individual domes and to place this unit of switching mat and spacing plate directly onto a circuit board having the appropriate contact points. In its edge areas, the switching mat is designed in such a manner that it encloses the circuit board in a dust-tight manner.
