摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate the unbalance of the voltage applied to the semiconductor element and the switching loss by increasing the capacity of the capacitor connected in parallel for the self-arc-extinguishing semiconductor element featuring a short storage time and decreasing the capacity for the element featuring a long storage time respectively. CONSTITUTION:With addition of capacitor C30 with turn-off command (a) given to input terminal 11, gate turn-off thyristor GTO14 starts turn-off after storage time Tstg1. And the anode current flowing to GTO14 flows into diodes 17 plus C18 and 30. While storage time Tstg2 of GTO15 is longer then Tstg1 and with large amount of charge amount, but the anode voltage change of GTO14 is gentle since C30 is added. Then GTO15 starts turn-off after Tstg2 with the anode change more sudden (c) than GTO14. As a result, a balance can be secured between final value VA1 and VA2 for the anode voltage between GTO14 and 15 regardless of the different storage time.
