In a large number of solutions, including flexible, mat-like collectors, tubes or hoses are used to form flow channels for a gaseous or liquid heat-exchanger medium. If the hoses are bound into an interlocking knit containing an absorber foil and a protective convection foil as component, this has the disadvantage that the protective convection foil comes into contact with the hoses and a performance-reducing heat dissipation thereby results. According to the invention, in the case of a flexible heat transfer element, spacers exist between absorber hoses worked into a warp knit and a foil envelope, comprising binding elements of the knit structure, it being possible for the spacers to be constructed, for example, as continuous parallel wefts or as looping ground threads. The basic element according to the invention can be produced with little expense and has the advantage that spacers are already incorporated in it and thus no additional measures for spacing are required when it is complemented with protective convection means. <IMAGE>
