Exhaust turbocharger

摘要

An exhaust turbocharger with a turbine subjected to the flow of exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine and with a compressor delivering a fresh air intake flow is described. In order to improve the efficiency of the exhaust turbocharger and hence the overall efficiency of the internal combustion engine, it is proposed to branch a swirl duct (post-swirl duct) off from the main exhaust duct downstream of the turbine rotor or/and to introduce a swirl duct (pre-swirl duct) into the main fresh air duct upstream of the compressor.
