<p>The purpose of the present invention is the idea of utilising specific electronic circuits to detect, and thereby signal, the drop in line voltage of the telephone pair, for purposes of monitoring and/or security. Such a drop occurs upon physical interruption in the electrical continuity, obtained via the pairs and the distribution arrays, existing between the telephone exchange and the specified users; such an interruption can be produced by various causes, such as critical condition of the connection, mistakes committed by the maintenance workers, illegal access to a private line, etc. At present, in order to detect and therefore remove the interruption, or a wrong connection, it is necessary to inspect, via workers, the electrical continuity of the wires contained in the various segments. All of this requires great outlay in terms of work and therefore time and expense. The use of the automatic detection circuits which is the subject of this patent, disconnected at characteristic points, such as the user's socket, distribution room, exchange input rack, will enable, by appropriate signal processes, which can be of visual, acoustic or data display (via computer) type, the employees of the telephone exchange to have an immediate check on the conditions of the line and therefore issue precise instructions to the maintenance crew, reducing the expenses and anticipating customer complaints. <IMAGE></p> |
