<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an equipment and method for efficiently purifying large amounts of sewage of a dirtied internal bay and a closed sea area, lakes and marshes. CONSTITUTION:A catalytic oxidation part is provided by packing a catalytic carrier capable of immobilizing microorganisms to the inside or the single side of a masonry levee constructed of split rubble stone. A biologically purifying function is imparted to this water-permeable levee by internal or external aeration. The water-permeable levee is provided in a dirtied water area or in a passage into which dirtied water is introduced. Dirtied water is treated by passing it through this equipment from one end or both ends. Since the catalytic oxidation part is provided which is capable of holding microorganisms having a central role for removal of organic substance at high cocn., a purification level and purifying efficiency are improved. Further the upper part of the water-permeable levee body is utilized for a promenade and sufficiently utilized for a natural park.</p> |
