<p>An automatically closing, preferably by hydraulic motor, water valve (1), especially for manual opening, has a valve-closing member (10), which closes or releases a valve seat (12) and is preferably designed as a valve disc (10) having a stem (14). An auxiliary valve closure (16) carried by the stem (14) cooperates with a seat (13) on the member (10). Initial movement of the stem (14), from its position of full closure of the valve, lifts the closure (16) to relieve inlet pressure upstream of the member (10) and thus facilitates its opening on continued movement of the stem (14). The valve is arranged to close after a predetermined volume of flow and is particularly for use in watering plants. <IMAGE></p> |
