The invention relates to a cycling helmet made of plastic. In order to reduce its manufacturing costs without this impairing the resistance to loading in the case of a crash, provision is made for the cycling helmet (1) to be of dual-wall design (2, 3) and to consist of a blow-moulded plastic. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for the manufacture of such a cycling helmet in such a way that the helmet is blow-moulded from a plastic tube inside a mould in such a way that a tube develops inside a hollow space of the mould to form a dual wall forming the helmet. <IMAGE>
