The method consists in approximating a sampled signal Xn, by a digital filter (1) which is matched (2) in order to minimise an error signal. It consists in searching for a unitary square matrix which, applied directly to the matrix XN(n) of the samples Xn converts the latter into a triangular matrix RN(n). Applications are to the production of radiocommunication receiver sets.
