PRODUCTION OF FLAME RETARDANT DEODORIZING FILTER FOR AIR PURIFIER

PURPOSE:To obtain a flame retardant deodorizing filter for an air purifier maintaining satisfactory flame retarding property and ensuring easy disposal by carrying activated carbon on a filter carrier made of paper and having hollow cells. CONSTITUTION:An acrylic emulsion contg. a non-decabromo type flame retardant is impregnated into a paper honeycomb 1 or a rolled core made of paper and the surface of the honeycomb 1 or the rolled core is coated with the flame retardant by drying the emulsion. Activated carbon having about 0.35-0.84mm particle diameter (about 0.50-0.60mm arithmetic mean particle diameter) is then carried on the honeycomb 1 or the rolled core to obtain the objective deodorizing filter.
