PURPOSE:To prevent the divided pattern from being recognized erroneously at the time of recognizing the divided pattern, in the method and the device for recognizing the divided pattern of a radiation image recorded in a cumulative phosphor sheet and a recording sheet of an X-ray film, etc. CONSTITUTION:A histogram 2 of an image signal 1 for showing a radiation image is generated, and from this histogram 2, an image signal value 3 of the part of an object to be photographed is derived, and subsequently, based on this image signal value 3, the part of the object to be photographed, and other part are set as '1' and '0', respectively and binarized, and a binarized image 4 is obtained. Next, to each segment of this binarized image 4, a labeling processing 5 is performed, and with regard to each segment to which this labeling processing 5 is performed, a separate evaluation 6 and a mutual evaluation 7 are executed, and based on a result of this separate evaluation 6 and the mutual evaluation 7, a determination 8 of the divided pattern is executed. |
