<p>PURPOSE:To lower the cost of a desulfrizing agent when using slightly calcined magnesia as the desulfrizing agent by feeding it as it is into a liquid absorbent tank in the bottom part of a desulfurizing column. CONSTITUTION:Slightly calcined magnesia in a MgO storage tank 1 and water in a water feed line 2 are fed into a MgO dissolving tank 3 through piping 10, 11 respectively to agitate them by an agitator 4. Then liquid in the MgO dissolving tank 3 is introduced into a liquid absorbent tank 5 in the bottom part of a desulftrizing column through piping 12. Since when a desulfurizing agent is fed, it is thus introduced directly as MgO without hydration treatment, a sedimentation tank, a wet grinder, a MgO dehydration tank, etc., are saved to lower the running cost.</p> |
