PURPOSE:To provide a sheet-like packaging material with which an article can be packaged easily without requiring any troublesome operation and which performs a high cushioning function when the package is subjected to shocks and can be stacked as such in storage and transit to save the space. CONSTITUTION:The packaging material is made of a soft base sheet 11 consisting mainly of synthetic resin foam, a circular projecting part 12 which can be freely turned over is formed approximately at the central part of the base sheet, a plurality of enclosing pieces 20 are formed integrally with the circular projecting part extending radially therefrom and a separate rib 25 is formed integrally with each of the enclosing pieces 20 projecting to the outer surface side thereof. |
