PURPOSE:To improve the smoothness of the work surface by rotatably supporting the outer circumferential edge of a disk-shaped work which is vertically placed by three holding rollers, arranging polishing tools on both sides of the work, and providing a polishing liquid supplying device to supply the polishing liquid. CONSTITUTION:A plate-shaped body 11 is vertically provided in the center of a horizontal supporting table 2, two supporting shaft bodies 13 are pivotably supported thereby, and a lower side holding roller 14 to hold the outer circumferential edge of a work W is mounted on the tip part of the respective shaft bodies 13. A supporting arm 18 to be swayed by a cylinder 17 is supported by the supporting body 11, an upper side holding roller 19 is mounted on the end part, and these rollers 14, 19 are interlockingly rotated by the action of a motor 25. In addition, a polishing tool 34 which is pushable against the work W by the action of a pushing cylinder 37 is supported by a holding body 32 arranged on both sides of the supporting body 11 through a rotary shaft body 33, and in polishing the work, the polishing liquid containing free abrasive grains is supplied to the surface to be polished of the work W from a supplying device 61 through a spraying nozzle 62, improving the smoothness of the work surface. |
