PURPOSE:To obtain a hair growth agent having excellent hair growth effects and ultrahigh safety with hardly any irritation to the skin without any side effects. CONSTITUTION:This hair growth agent comprises an ingredient obtained from an extract solution, a pressed juice, a sap, etc., of Lagenaria leucantha Rusby var. clavata Makino. The ingredient of the Lagenaria leucantha Rusby var. clavata Makino is obtained from an extract solution prepared by extracting the Lagenaria leucantha Rusby var. clavata Makino or a dried substance thereof with a solvent such as water, alcohols, ketones, ethers or chloroform or a mixed solvent thereof, the pressed juice obtained by chopping the Lagenaria leucantha Rusby var. clavata Makino and pressing the chopped Lagenaria leucantha Rusby var. clavata Makino with a filter press, etc., or the sap prepared by cutting a vine of the Lagenaria leucantha Rusby var. clavata Makino during the cultivation and collecting the dripped sap. The solution or liquid containing the ingredient of the Lagenaria leucantha Rusby var. clavata Makino is directly used or diluted or concentrated to a suitable concentration and daily directly applied to the skin about once to twice. The existing effective substance, e.g. a peripheral vasodilator or an antiinflammatory agent in an adequate amount may be contained therein for use. |
