<p>PURPOSE: To manufacture new granules of an epoch-making fluidity by disposing reinforcing fiber filaments in a matrix of a thermoplastic resin material and setting each of the length of fibers, the melting temperature of the thermoplastic resin material, the diameter of granule and the ratio between the diameter and length of granule at the given values. CONSTITUTION: Leaf filaments of a number of reinforcing fibers in a granule formed of a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin material are arranged in parallel in a matrix of the thermoplastic resin material. The length of fibers corresponding to the granule length and is in the range from 3-8 mm, the melting temperature of the thermoplastic resin material is 100 Pas or higher and the diameter of granule (measured perpendicularly to the fiber direction) is 1.7-5 mm. The ratio between the diameter and length of the granular is 0.4-1.66. In that case, the melt viscosity is measured at the low shear rate.</p> |
