PURPOSE:To pack articles in pallets for respective customers in the dimensional order, by calculating a lay-out with which plate-like articles are cut out from a plate material at an optimum yield while avoiding a fault mark, and by enabling the cut-out articles to be stored in sorter means. CONSTITUTION:A control part calculates a lay-out with which articles are cut out from a plate material 27 at an optimum yield while avoids a fault mark, in accordance with data detected by a fault mark detector 12 for reading the position of the fault mark set on the plate material 27, order data or the like. Packing data relating to a loading order are calculated in accordance with the order data. The articles are cut out from the plate material 27 by a cutter in accordance with a result of the calculation, and desired labels are applied to thus cut-out articles by a labeling device 16. Then by reading these labels, the articles are stored by a sorter means 18 one by one, and are taken out in accordance with the order data. Thereafter, the articles are packed in pallets 68 by a pallet packing device 19 in the dimensional order. |
