PURPOSE:To provide a device of simple structure for fastening a shaft and a rotating body without requiring a highly precise machining of tapered surfaces and using a key. CONSTITUTION:A fastening device 10 comprises an inner race 20, an outer race 30, and a means 60 for relatively moving the races 20, 30 in the axial direction. Large-diameter rings 40 and small-diameter rings 50 are alternately arranged between a flange 22 of the inner race 20 and a flange 32 of the outer race 30. Tapered surfaces 26, 36 are formed on the flanges 22, 32, respectively. The large-diameter ring 40 and the small-diameter ring 50 are brought into contact with the tapered surfaces 26, 36, respectively. When the inner race 20 and the outer race 30 are moved relatively in the axial direction, the large- diameter ring 40 is enlarged while the small-diameter ring 50 is reduced. A shaft 12 and a rotating body 14 are fastened via the inner race 20 and the outer race 30 by a generated surface pressure so that torque is transmitted by frictional force. |
