INK AND IMAGE-FORMING METHOD USING THE INK

PURPOSE:To obtain an ink effective for preventing feathering and having excellent fixability and color-developing property. CONSTITUTION:The ink is composed of a liquid composition containing a coloring material and a liquid medium for dissolving or dispersing the coloring material. The ink contains a monohydric alcohol and at least one kind of a water-soluble polymeric compound selected from water-soluble polyvinyl acetal, water-soluble methyl cellulose, water-soluble hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose and water-soluble polyisopropyl acrylamide and exhibits a uniform solution state in the range of 60-80 deg.C.
