<p>In a strap (1) to convey the weft grippers along the shed of looms - of the flexible type having quadrangular holes (2) aligned on its axis, into which engage the teeth (6) of a driving gearwheel - said holes (2) have a tapered longitudinal section and their transversal faces have inclined converging profiles (3). Said strap (1) is produced with a method comprising the steps of: a) punching into the strap quadrangular holes (2) of reduced size; b) imparting by broaching on one of the transversal faces of said holes a profile (3A) which is inclined and converging in respect of that of the other transversal face; and c) imparting by broaching on the other transversal face of the hole a profile (3B) which is inclined and converging in respect of that of the first transversal face. <MATH></p> |
