PURPOSE:To accurately detect rotary angle speed even if atmospheric temperature changes by chamfering the edge part of a piezoelectric element excluding the joint surface with a vibration body. CONSTITUTION:The edge parts of piezoelectric elements 14a, 14b, and 14c other than the joint surface with a vibration body 12 are chamfered in a vibration gyro 10. Then, when using the vibration gyro 10, an oscillation circuit is connected between the piezoelectric elements 14a and 14b and the piezoelectric element 14c. The oscillation circuit causes the vibration body 12 to be subjected to refractive vibration in the direction crossing the formation surface of the piezoelectric element 14c. When the gyro 10 is rotated around the axis of the vibration body 12, the vibration direction of the vibration body 12 changes due to coriolis force, thus generating a difference in the output voltage of the piezoelectric elements 14a and 14b. By measuring the difference in the output voltage, the rotary angle speed applied to the vibration gyro 10 can be detected. |
